Orda Beatrice Rosetter Engel was born August 25, 1916 to Bertina Hagen and Louis C. Rosetter in Montevideo, Minnesota. She was baptized and later confirmed at Bergen Lutheran Church of Stony Run Township. Orda married Stanley Lorenz Engel at Bergen Lutheran Church on March 21, 1941. Orda was a homemaker for her family. She enjoyed people, and playing cards: canasta, whist and pinochle; she also enjoyed crossword puzzles. She was a member of the Hanley Falls Study Club, Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church and WELCA. Orda passed away on Thursday afternoon, May 11, 1995 at the age of 78 years. She is survived by her husband Stanley; daughters: Mary of Bloomington, Minnesota and Margaret of Mountain View, California; Grandchildren: Jenny Dodgson of New York, Ross Gjevre of Billings, Montana, Sarah Catlett and Christopher Catlett of Mountain View, California, and one great granddaughter Alexandra Gjevre of Billings, Montana. Also surviving is brother Lyle Rosetter and wife Muriel. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters and brothers: Agnes, Clara, Clarence, Roy, Dora, Adolph, and Ellen.
