Obituary

Ole L. Uveness, son of Ole and Uni (Larson) Uveness, was born in Stony Run Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, August 5, 1877. He was baptized in infancy and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at St. Petri Lutheran Church, Camp Release Township, Lac qui Parle County, Minnesota, by Pastor Ole Gulbrandson. On November 11, 1908, he was united in marriage to Josephine Toftness. Three children were born to this union, Verna, Orpha and Omar. Mr. Uveness passed away from a cerebral hemorrhage at the Clarkfield Hospital on Sunday, March 3, 1963, at the age of 85 years. He was admitted to the hospital the previous day. Surviving him are his two daughters, Verna and Orpha; one brother, Julius; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Josephine, one son, three sisters, one half-sister and two brothers. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and lived in the Boyd community all his life. IN MEMORY OF OLE L.
