Obituary

Ole Swenson was born June 28, 1896, in Hazel Run Township of Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, to parents John and Bergit (Dahley) Swenson. He was baptized by Rev. Strand and confirmed by Rev. Ole Lokensgaard at the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church. He entered Service in World War I in 1918, and was a member of the Granite Falls American Legion. He worked at Jamestown, North Dakota, for some time before taking over farming operations after the death of his father in 1921. Ole passed away on June 6, 1975, at the age of 78 at the Community Memorial Hospital, Clarkfield, Minnesota, where he had been a patient since May 31, 1975. Survivors include his brother Milton at home; sisters Gertie and Esther; two nieces, Mrs. Edwin Wandersee and Mrs. Donald Larson, both of Audubon, Minnesota; and a number of cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister Hannah Clauson; and one brother Swen Swenson.
