Ole Gullickson was born July 18, 1872, in Normania Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, the son of Gullick and Margit Charleson. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at St. Lucas Lutheran Church in Normania Township. He was united in marriage to Julia Jensen and to this union three children were born: Myrtle, Goodwin, and a child who died in infancy. His wife, Julia, preceded him in death on February 15, 1911, as did his parents. Mr. Gullickson spent most of his life in hospitals and rest homes and passed away Sunday June 13, 1965, at AW Gwah Ching State Hospital at Walker, Minnesota, at the age of 92 years. Surviving him are a son, Goodwin, and a daughter Myrtle (Mrs. Albin Trempe) of Duluth, Minnesota.
