Ole Gautefall, son of Lars and Sophia (Haugen) Gautefall, was born April 6, 1893, in Sandnes Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed by Ole Lokensgard in the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church. He lived on the home place until November 1982 when he went to the Clarkfield Care Center. Along with his farming, he drove school bus for District #96 for eighteen years and one month. He was very active on the board for the West Cemetery for many years. He passed away Sunday, February 20, 1983, at the Care Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Susie, Inga and Thea (Gilbertson). He is survived by two brothers: Lewie of Hazel Run, Minnesota, and George, of the Clarkfield Care Center; two sisters: Ida Marie (Milla) Kjelleberg of the Granite Manor and Clara Berre of Hazel Run, Minnesota; eight nieces and nephews: Hiram Halvorson, Myrna (Gilbertson) Wilson, Marvin Gilbertson and Sandra (Berre) Nelson of Marshall, Minnesota, Lloyd Halvorson of Hanley Falls, Minnesota, Carol (Berre) Tjosaas of Kasson, Minnesota, Jeanette (Berre) Roney of Stone Mountian, Georgia, and Myron Anderson of Honolulu, Hawaii; thirty-two great nieces and nephews; and twenty-eight great great nieces and nephews.
