Olai Torgerson was born February 6, 1876, in Sandnes Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, the son of Paul Torgerson and Guro "Julia" (Myrum) Torgerson. He passed away January 4, 1956, at the Swedish Hospital in Minneapolis, at the age of 79 years. Mr. Torgerson was preceded in death by his parents; brother Ole; three sisters: Mrs. Fred Nelson, Mrs. Oscar Swenson and Mrs. Walter Swenson. He was survived by brother, Peter (who survived Olai by four days) and several nieces and nephews.
