Obituary

Norma Antonia Viken was born August 11, 1892, at Canby, Minnesota, to parents Erik and Anna (Bing) Ruud. She was baptized and confirmed in St. Stephens Lutheran Church of Canby, and in later years was a member of the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church of Hanley Falls. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Ladies Legion Auxiliary. She died August 18, 1973, at the Clara City Nursing Home, at the age of 81 years. Survivors include one daughter, Winnefred Anna Jahn of LaMesa; California, four granchildren: Pamela, Kim, Duff and Rony Jahn; two sisters: Irene McCready of Marshall, Minnesota, and Ethel Anderson of Hanley Falls; and one brother, Elden Ruud of Marshall, Minnesota; besides aunts, cousins, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Viken.
