Norma Elaine Jacobson was born May 5, 1927, at Clarkfield, Minnesota, to parents Andrew and Annie (Droen) Smolley. She was baptized on May 29, 1927, at Clarkfield Lutheran Church and confirmed in 1942. She attended Clarkfield Public Schools. Norma married Harland Jacobson on October 1, 1949. They farmed and lived in Normania Township of Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. Norma was a member of Spring Creek Lutheran Church and the Spring Creek Ladies Aid. She also was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary. Norma passed away at her home on Saturday, June 13, 1999, at the age of 72 years, 1 month, and 9 days. She is survived by her son Dean and grandchildren: Sabrina and Craig Jacobson. She is also survived by her sister Lillian Palmgren; brother Donald (and Clarice) Smolley; brothers-in-law: Kenneth (and Kathleen) Jacobson and Robert Brock; and sister-in-law Shirley Smolley; plus many nieces and nephews. Norma was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harland; brothers Jay and Abner Smolley; sister Evelyn Brock; and an infant brother and sister. Blessed be her memory.
