Nora Mabel
(Rudell) Anderson
July 3, 1894 – October 20, 1962
Nora Mabel Rudell was born July 3, 1894, at St. Peter, Minnesota, the daughter of John and Anna (Johnson) Rudell. She was baptized September 1, 1894, and confirmed on June 28, 1908, in the Swedish Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pine County, Minnesota, by Rev. J.A. Krantz. On November 24, 1915, she was united in marriage to John M. Anderson at the John Rudell farm home in Tyro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. To this union were born two sons, Jewell and Merril. They resided on several farms in the Clarkfield community moving to Clarkfield in 1953 where they have since made their home. They were members of the Fridhem Church for some years; then joined the Israel Lutheran Church where they remained members until moving to Clarkfield when they joined the First English Lutheran Church, now the Augustana Lutheran Church, where she was a member at the time of her passing. She was an active member of the Ladies Aid until her health failed. She passed away October 20, 1962, at the Clarkfield Community Hospital at the age of 68 years. She is survived by her husband, John M. Anderson; her sons, Jewell and Merril; her grandchildren, Judith, Marilyn, Marleen, Richard and Karen Anderson; three sisters: Jennie (Mrs. Alfred Erie) of Kensington, Minnesota, Ella (Mrs. Reuben Peterson) of Boyd, and Agnes (Mrs. Arthur Dahlin) of Starbuck, Minnesota; and three brothers: Harry, Albert and Leonard Rudell. Albert is at Cambridge, Minnesota, and Harry and Leonard at Alexandria, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Nellie (Mrs. Albert Anderson) and one brother, George Rudell.
