Nora J. Mossige, was born September 12, 1891, in rural Clarkfield, Minnesota to Nicholai and Gustava (Lende) Peterson. She was baptized and confirmed at Spring Creek Lutheran Church of rural Clarkfield. She attended rural school. Nora and Adolph Mossige were united in marriage on January 24, 1914, in rural Clarkfield. To this union three children were born: Erling and Gertrude Chambers of Cottonwood, Minnesota and Norman of Hamilton, Missouri. Nora passed away Thursday, June 18, 1987, at the Granite Falls Hospital at the age of 95. Funeral Services were held Monday, June 22 at 10:30 a.m. from Christ Lutheran Church of Cottonwood, Minnesota. Dr. Arthur Holmes officiating. Organist was Mrs. Gwen Arneson and soloist Curt Dahl. Casket Bearers were Marvin Belling, Harold Fratzke, Loris Gniffke, Jon Jesseritz, Einar Oftedal and Theron Reishus. Final Resting Place, Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Cottonwood, Minnesota. Nora is survived by her three children and seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; sisters Nettie Wait of Granite Falls, Minnesota, and Sylvia Miller of Clarkfield; and brother George of Laguna Hills, California.
