Nils Bengt Pearson, a former resident of Swede Prairie Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, was born September 15, 1875, at Lake Prairie, Nicollet County, Minnesota. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bengt Pearson. He spent his childhood in Swede Prairie Township and was confirmed in the Swede Home Church in 1889. Later he moved to Minneota, Minnesota, then to Portland, Oregon, and to Los Angeles, where he resided until his death. He died April 2, 1961, at Los Angeles, California, at the age of 85 years, after a short illness. Mr. Pearson leaves to mourn his passing four nieces and three nephews living in California and Clearbrook, Litchfield and Minneapolis, Minnesota, and two nephews: Melvin C. Anderson of Minneota, Minnesota, and Albin A. Anderson of Clarkfield, Minnesota. Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, John; and three sisters: Mrs. Lewis Teigland, Mrs. Joseph Anderson and Mrs. John Olson.
