Nettie Louise Mattison was born August 23, 1898, at Linn Grove, Iowa, to Nels Edward Olson and Martina (Larson) Olson. She moved with her parents to a farm near Dovray, Minnesota, in 1902. She was confirmed in Our Saviors Lutheran Chruch at Dovray. In July 1916 she was married to William R. Mattison. They made their first home in Storden, Minnesota, where thier four children were born. Later homes were in Redwood Falls and Bingham Lake, Minnesota. When her husband died in 1970, she made her home with her youngest son, William and his wife Esther. In 1975 she moved to Clarkfield, Minnesota, making her home with one of her twin daughters, Dorothy Berg. On May 27, 1977 she moved to the Clarkfield Care Center, where she was lovingly cared for until her death on Wednesday, January 5, 1983. Nettie is survived by her children, Milford Mattison and his wife Ruth of Bingham Lake; Dorothy and her husband Wilhelm S. Berg of Clarkfield; Donna and her husband Edwin W. Holmberg of Big Timber, Montana and William A. Mattison and wife Esther of Windom, Minnesota. There are six grandsons, and one granddaughter, two great grandsons, two great granddaughters, five nieces, one cousin, step grandsons and step granddaughters and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband, one granddaughter and one daughter-in-law. IN MEMORY OF Mrs. William K.
