Myrtle Judith Stokke was born in Clarkfield, Minnesota, on September 27, 1915, to Nels and Alma Anderson Stokke. Myrtle and Alvin Hanson were united in marriage on September 30, 1934, at the Lutheran parsonage in Granite Falls, Minnesota. Myrtle and Alvin raised their four boys on their farm south of Clarkfield. In 1972, they retired from farming and moved into Clarkfield. Then in 1976 they moved to Montevideo, Minnesota. Myrtle belonged to St. Lucas Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid. She will be remembered for her ability to share her love and understanding for her husband, children, grandchildren and all of her friends.
