Obituary

Myrtle O. (Olson) Anderson February 2, 1911 ~ April 23, 2015 Myrtle Oneida Anderson was born on February 2, 1911, to parents Iver and Gina (Krugerud) Olson. She married Helmer C. "Narney" Anderson on September 5, 1932. To this union two daughters were born: Jane and LaVilla. Narney and Myrtle farmed in the Clarkfield and Boyd areas and raised their daughters there. Myrtle entered eternal rest on April 23, 2015, at the age of 104 years, 2 months and 21 days. Myrtle attended country school until the 8th grade. After school she helped on the family farm until her marriage. Myrtle and Narney lived in Boyd while he worked for WPA. They moved to a farm near Clarkfield where Narney worked for a farmer and Myrtle was a homemaker. They then bought a farm by Boyd and farmed until 1973. They bought a house in Boyd where she resided until 2006. While living in Boyd, Myrtle cleaned the bank and the laundromat for Vern and Connie Lein. She loved to bake. Her specialties were ground raisin cookies, kringlas, doughnuts, rhubarb and apple pies. She also made handmade quilts, which she sold. Myrtle was very active in the ladies aid at Trinity Lutheran Church of which she was a lifelong member. She stayed in her home until the age of 95, at which time she moved to the Johnson Memorial Care Center where she enjoyed the many activities, especially Bingo. She is survived by her daughters: Jane Johnson and LaVilla Saue; five grandchildren: Loni McKnight, Butch (Renae) Johnson, Tamara Saue, Kimberly (Roger) Lee, Michelle (J.J.) Schuelke; twelve great grandchildren: Shelly McKnight, Cory Johnson, Kyle Johnson, Amanda (Todd) Henneberg, Alicia Saue, Cassandra (Robert) Dauwalter, Cayla Lee, Cari Lee, Carson Lee, Kelsi Schuelke, Kylie Schuelke, Keaton Schuelke and five great great grandchildren: Tate Henneberg, Gavin Henneberg, Tenley Dauwalter, Kaelin Dauwalter, Kennedy Dauwalter; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Narney (1974); five siblings: Hazel, Florence, Inez, Elmer, Leonard; two sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; two sons-in-law: Henry Johnson and Leslie Saue; and several nieces and nephews.
