Myrtle Maursetter was born at Clarkfield, Minnesota, October 6, 1898, the daughter of Thorvald and Helene (Monson) Moen. She was baptized by Rev. Farseth and confirmed by Rev. Storaasli She attended Clarkfield elementary and high school. On May 3, 1924, she was united in marriage to Jergon Maursetter. Most of her married life was spent in the Clarkfield area except for the past ten years when they resided in Indianapolis, Indiana. Myrtle was active in her church both here and in Indianapolis and will be remembered by many for her beautiful singing. Mrs. Maursetter passed away at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital, Montevideo, Minnesota, Sunday evening, December 27, 1970, at the age of 72 years. She had been brought by special plane from the hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana, earlier this month. Her health had been failing for several years. She is survived by her husband, Jergon, and three children: Ronald of Pompano Beach, Florida, Truman of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Carolyn (Mrs. George Buseman) of LaCressenta, California; fifteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters: Mrs. Ralph Boss of Clarkfield and Mrs. R.E. Maursetter of Montevideo, Minnesota; and one brother, Elaster Moen of Clarkfield.
