Myrtle Antonia Lovsness was born May 15, 1913, at rural Cottonwood, Minnesota, to parents Anton J. and Selma T. (Brenden) Anderson. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Lucas Lutheran Church. Myrtle attended and graduated from Cottonwood High School. Following graduation she worked at the school as a Secretary to Superintendent Norstad. She then devoted her life to being a wife, mother, caregiver, Grandmother, and friend. Myrtle married Ordell J. Lovsness on December 28, 1935, at the Brenden Homestead. They were the parents of three daughters and one son. Myrtle and Ordell moved to their farm home in March of 1943. They remained there until 1977 when they moved to Cottonwood. Myrtle lived in her home in Cottonwood until 2004 when she moved to Minneota, Minnesota, and then in February of 2005 she moved to Wooddale Center in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. Myrtle passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, May 10, 2005, at the Wooddale Center in Redwood Falls at the age of 91 years, 11 months, and 27 days. She is survived by her daughters: Brenda (and Dan) Skaret of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, Connie (and Ken) Pehrson of Cottonwood, and Ina (and Iver) Christopherson of rural Redwood Falls, Minnesota. She is also survived by grandchildren: David (and Kim) Skaret of Edmonton, Canada, Diane (and Lowell) Johnson of Saskatoon, Canada, Gregory (and Heather) Skaret or Ottawa, Canada, Cindy (and Lee) Ek of Lakeland, Florida, Brian (and Heather Hochhalter) Pehrson of Wood Lake, Minnesota, Timothy (and Colleen) Pehrson of Cottonwood, Stacy (and Phillip) Vollands of Wimborne, England, Kevin (and Tricia) Christopherson of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, and Marshall (and Rebecca) Christopherson of Savage, Minnesota. Also surviving are great grandchildren: Karley, Siri, Jaime, Sarah, Kjersten, Courtney, Crissie, Buddy, Cody, Emily, Alissa, Isaac, Alex, Eric, Alanna, Emma, Abbey, Solvei; and sister-in-law Celda Mercie.
