Dr. Murly A. Borgerson was born April 23, 1903, in Duluth, Minnesota, the son of Herman and Louise (Hendrickson) Borgerson. He was a graduate of Duluth Central High School, Superior Normal College and the University of Minnesota Medical School. He married Erma A. Olson of Minneapolis in 1930. They moved to Hanley Falls and he practiced medicine there, and in Cottonwood and Clarkfield for the past 44 years. He was a member of the Phi Chi Medical Fraternity, Camp Release Medical Society, A.F.A.M. Masonic Lodge of Clarkfield No. 297, and the Zuhrah Shrine of Minneapolis. Dr. Borgerson died Wednesday, August 28, 1974, at the Variety Club Heart Hospital in Minneapolis, at the age of 71 years. He is survived by his wife, Erma; four children: Patricia (Mrs. Stanley Berg) of Hanley Falls, Kay (Mrs. John Walker) of San Diego, California, Roger of Concord, California, and Terry of Utica, New York; ten grandchildren; one sister Evelyn (Mrs. Eugene Oberg) of Chicago, Illinois; and one brother, Roger Borgerson of Great Falls, Montana; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
