Monica Rae Abrahamson was born to parents James and Linda (Stroschein) Abrahamson at Granite Falls, Minnesota, on December 2, 1959. She was baptized at Rock Delle Lutheran Church of Belview, Minnesota, and confirmed at the American Lutheran Church of Echo, Minnesota, on May 2, 1976. She attended schools in Hazel Run, Echo, and Granite Falls. Monica and Keith Jacobson were united in marriage at Granite Falls Lutheran Church on June 30, 1979, by Pastor John Bjorge. To this union were born four children: Jessica, Brandon, and twins Kody and Kyle. While living in the Hazel Run area, she operated the MJ Grocery. She enjoyed horseback riding and sight seeing. At the time of her death she was staying with friends Rick and Anna McGinnes at Pierz, Minnesota. She passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2001, at Richardson Township, Crow Wing County, Minnesota, at the age of 41 years, 6 months, and 28 days. She is survived by her family, daughter, Jessica Jacobson of Clarkfield; grandsons, Seth and Chase Jacobson, Clarkfield; sons, Brandon and Kody Jacobson of Hazel Run, Minnesota, and Kyle Jacobson of Norwood, Minnesota; and her mother, Linda (and friend Bill) Abrahamson of North Redwood, Minnesota. Also surviving is her first husband, Keith Jacobson of Norwood, Minnesota; present husband, Robert Moen of Pierz, Minnesota; Grandma Mildred Johnson of Granite Falls; brothers, Kevin (and friend Tami) Abrahamson of Madison, Minnesota, and Jamie Abrahamson of Montevideo, Minnesota; aunt, Karen Kurtenbach; aunt and uncle, Bergetta and Jerry Abrahamson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, James. Blessed be her memory.
