Obituary

Mollie Hoberg was born on January 24, 1886, in Dane County, Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, the youngest child of Halvor Hoberg and Olea Erickson Hoberg. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith and was an infant when her parents moved to Farmington, Minnesota. In 1895, the family moved to Lac qui Parle County to a farm just south of Boyd. On May 20, 1900, she was confirmed in Trinity Church by Rev. O.C. Farseth and she has lived in the Boyd community most of her adult life except for a few years when she lived near Fergus Falls. After attending rural school, she attended Madison Lutheran Normal School, after which she taught parochial school and a few terms of rural school. She passed away quietly on February 29, 1976, at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers; one sister; 11 nephews and ten nieces.
