Mrs. Charles (Minnie) Whitmore died Thursday June 16, 1988, at the Granite Falls Manor, Granite Falls, Minnesota. Services were held Monday, June 20, 1988, at 2:00 p.m. at the Lynner Funeral Home Chapel, Clarkfield, Minnesota. The Reverend Olando Gunderson officiated at the services. Music was provided by the organist Mrs. Duane Jacobson and soloist Loren Norgaard. Casket Bearers were Vance Gullickson, Carl Halverson, Bruce Halverson, James Robertson, Tom Isaackson and Delbert Lange. Final Resting Place was in Hazel Run Lutheran Cemetary, Hazel Run, Minnesota. She was born November 18, 1901, at Hazel Run, the daughter of the late Engebrit and Thilda (Johnson) Olson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She married Charles Whitmore on June 28, 1921. The couple farmed in the Hazel Run area before moving to Granite Falls in 1950. Mr. Whitmore passed away January 19, 1968. She is survived by nephews, Gordon Gullickson of Donnelly, Minnesota, and Edson Gullickson of Ely, Minnesota; nieces, Corine Robertson, Bella Vista, Arkansas, Pearl Halverson, Minneapolis Minnesota, Helen Hildebrant, Beach, North Dakota, Shirley Kennedy, Fullerton, California and Lois Schoenrock, Big Lake, Minnesota; and sister-in-law Mildred Olson of Granite Falls.
