Minnie C. Anderson was born February 21, 1889, in Swede Prairie Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, the daughter of Andrew John Swanson and Mathea (Olson) Swanson. She was baptized by Pastor B.F. Bengtson and confirmed by Pastor Carl Shaleen at Swede Home Church. On June 12, 1912, she was united in marriage to Lester Anderson of Swede Prairie. To this union four children were born. Mrs. Anderson passed away suddenly at her home Sunday morning, July 15, 1962, after a short illness, having reached the age of 73 years. She is survived by three daughters and one son, namely Mrs. Lorraine West of Clarkfield, Marvelle (Mrs. Manley Olson) of Watson, Minnesota, Artys (Mrs. Joe Cole) of Hanley Falls and Alford of Clarkfield; twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren; three sisters: Annie (Mrs. Glenn Doese), Mrs. Alma Norem, both of California, and Selma (Mrs. Melvin Hanson) of Rapid City, South Dakota; and three brothers: Roy of California, Elmer of Minneapolis and Albert of Detroit, Michigan. Preceding her in death were her husband, who passed away in 1953; her parents; her twin brother and brothers: Albert, Walter and Oscar. IN MEMORY OF MRS. MINNIE C.
