Minnie Georgine Anderson was born November 7, 1882, at Albaton, Iowa, the daughter of Helge and Marit (Dokken) Brenden. Minnie was baptized and confirmed in the Skien Lutheran Church of Albaton, Iowa. The Brenden family moved to a farm in Normania Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, in 1904. On December 22, 1914, she was united in marriage to Carl J. Anderson of Cottonwood, Minnesota, with Rev. Remstad officiating. Carl and Minnie built their home across the road from Carl's parents farm and lived there until Carl's death in 1947. Minnie remained on the farm until the fall of 1955. To this union four children were born: Harold of Boulder, Colorado, Arvid and Melvin of Cottonwood, Minnesota, and Bernice (Mrs. Larry Sanders) of North Mankato, Minnesota. Minnie was a resident of the Franklin Heights Nursing Home, Franklin, Minnesota, the past five years where she passed away Wednesday, April 19, 1967. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, her parents, two sisters and three brothers. She is survived by three sons, one daughter, nine grandchildren, one sister and many relatives and friends. IN MEMORY OF MRS. CARL G.
