Milton C. Hanson was born in Chicago, Illinois, December 17, 1872, and came with his parents Peter C. Hanson and Martha Anderson Hanson to McCallsburg, Story County, Iowa, in 1874. Mr. Hanson was married to Olive Lura at Nevada, Iowa, on April 10, 1895. They lived in Iowa until 1913, when they moved with their family to the present farm home southwest of Clarkfield. He is survived by his wife, Olive, three sons, and one daughter, namely: Homer and Clifford of Boyd, Minnesota, Lola (Mrs. Edgar Brecke) of Montevideo, Minnesota, and Burdell at home. Two sons, one in infancy, and one son, Millard, age 30 years, preceded him in death, as did also his parents, two brothers and one sister. He is also survived by two grandsons: Milton Elwood and Homer Allyn Hanson, four brothers and one sister. Deceased was instructed, baptized and confirmed by Rev. P.O. Wee in October 1944. His health began to fail four years ago. He was at the Clarkfield Community Hospital for one week when he slept peacefully away the morning of November 22, 1952, at six o'clock. At his death he was 79 years, 11 months and five days old.
