Mildred Doris Iverson Stevens was born April 20, 1920 at Marietta, MN to parents Gilbert and Charlotte (Johnson) Iverson. She was baptized on August 1, 1920 and confirmed May 12, 1935 at Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church. Mildred attended school in Hanley Falls and graduated with the Class of 1938. Mildred married Virgil Stevens on June 24, 1950 at 'The Little Brown Church' in Iowa. They farmed in the Hanley Falls area. After Virgil's death in 1975, Millie became an avid buyer and seller of antiques. She enjoyed collecting and refurbishing dolls. She was a member of the VFW and Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church. Mildred passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 1997 at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital at the age of 77 years, 1 month, and 29 days. She is survived by her sister Harriet Iverson of Granite Falls and three nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Melvern and husband Virgil.
