Michael Allen Westre was born April 22, 1962, at the Clarkfield Hospital, Clarkfield, Minnesota, to parents Cesyl and Darlene (Weber) Westre. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Isidores Church in Clarkfield. Mike graduated from Clarkfield High School in 1980. He married his high school classmate, Sally Mensink, that same year. Two daughters were born to Mike and Sally: Tracie Lynn and Angela Jo. Mike and Sally have lived in Clarkfield their entire married life with Mike being a truck driver. Mike enjoyed spending time at the lake, playing cards, hunting, and spending time with his family. He loved being with his friends and his dog, Jake. He enjoyed riding his Harley. Mike passed away on Saturday evening, October 12, 2002, as the result of an automobile accident near Clarkfield. He reached the age of 40 years, 5 months and 20 days. He is survived by his wife, Sally and daughters, Tracie and Angie all of Clarkfield; his mother Darlene Westre of Clarkfield; sister Jody (and Jim) Jensen; father and mother-in-law Curt and Trudy Mensink; nieces and nephews; and extended family. He was preceded in death by his father Cesyl in 1985; uncle Earl Westre; brother-in-law Travis Mensink; grandparents Walter and Pheme Westre and Henry and Lena Weber.
