Services for Meta Louisa Steinhouse, 77, of Cottonwood, Minnesota, were held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, April 28, 1986, at English Lutheran Church of Cottonwood with Pastor Gaylin Schmeling officiating. Organist was Glenyce Huso with Curt Dahl singing, "How Great Thou Art," and grandson Nick Kroger singing, "The Lord's Prayer." Visitation was held at the Lynner Funeral Home in Clarkfield, Minnesota, Sunday, April 27, 1986, with the family from 2 to 4 p.m. Casket Bearers were Jerry Boney, Gene Gollmer, Tim Roeder, Arnold Steinhouse, Gary Steinhouse and Leonard Steinhouse. She was born December 19, 1908, in Gibbon, Minnesota to Carl and Regina (Pfeuti) Stoll. She was baptized into the Christian Faith at her home in Gibbon on January 10, 1909, and was later confirmed into the Luthern faith on June 3, 1923, at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church of Morton. She attended grade school at the Franklin Public school. She married Herbert William Seinhouse on September 8, 1931, at Ev. Lutheran Church in Morton. They farmed in the Morton area after their marriage. In 1945 they moved to Wood Lake, Minnesota, where they operated a cafe. In 1962 they moved to Cottonwood, Minnesota, where they bought a cafe currently called "Grandma's Kitchen." She was a faithful member of English Lutheran Church and a member of the English Ladies Aid. She was an active member of the Cottonwood Senior Citizens. She is survived by daughters Delores (Mrs. Dennis) Naab of Wood Lake, Minnesota, and Joyce (Mrs. Bill) Kroger of Cottonwood, Minnesota; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; sisters Beatrice (Mrs. Ben) Steinhouse of Redwood Falls, Minnesota, and Leona (Mrs. John) Hutchinson of Coos Bay, Oregon; and brother Roy Stoll of Ely. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Herbert; daughter Elaine Steinhouse Jacobson; granddaughter Kristine Naab and two sisters.
