Melvin Anderson was born December 7, 1905, in Boyd, Minnesota, the son of Carl and Karen (Martinson) Anderson. On April 17, 1927, he married Trudie Anderson and to this union were born two daughters, Fern and Ardis. Melvin was the operator of the Skelly Service Station in Boyd. Mr. Anderson passed away September 29, 1957, the result of an accident while fishing below the Churchill dam on Lac qui Parle Lake. He is survived by his wife, Trudie; two daughters: Fern (Mrs. Richard Melby) of Minneapolis and Ardis (Mrs. Harm Randt) of Glueck, Minnesota; and two granddaughters.
