Mattie Lukken, 95, of Boyd, Minnesota, died Friday, June 1, 1984, at Clarkfield Community Memorial Hospital, Clarkfield, Minnesota. Services were held Monday, June 4, 1984, 11:00 a.m., at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyd with Rev. Scott Jorgenson officiating. Final Resting Place is Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Boyd, Minnesota. She was born October 26, 1888, on a farm near Hanley Falls, Minnesota, to Amund and Gunhild (Iverson) Johnson - both of Norway. She attended rural schools in the Hanley Falls area and was baptized and confirmed in the Hanley Falls Lutheran Church. Prior to her marriage, she worked as a nurses aid in hospitals at Mt. Horeb and Madison, Wisconsin. On December 6, 1911, she married Oscar Lukken of Boyd. They were married at Madison, Minnesota, by Rev. Rondestadt. She was an active homemaker and a member of the Boyd Trinity Lutheran Church. Two years after her husbands death in 1967 she moved to the Brookside Manor in Montevideo and lived there until 1981 when she moved to the Clarkfield Care Center. She is survived by daughter Gladys Mork and son Donald Lukken both of Clarkfield. There are three grandchildren: Marlen Campbell of Laramie, Wyoming, Barbara Flykt of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and David Lukken of Clarkfield. There are also five great grandsons. At the funeral, Minnie Hermanson was the organist and Rev. Scott Jorgenson sang the solos. Casket Bearers were Robert Campbell, Byron Handeland, Kenneth Handeland.
