Mattie R. Anderson was born April 13, 1890, in Hazel Run Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, to parents Magnus and Turina (Halvorson) Jacobson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. On November 7, 1907, she was united in marriage to Theodore C. Anderson of Hazel Run in the Hazel Run Lutheran Church. They farmed in the Hazel Run area until September, 1959, when they moved to Granite Falls, Minnesota. Mrs. Anderson died October 18, 1980, at the Granite Falls Manor, Granite Falls, Minnesota, at the age of 90 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore, in 1965. Mattie is survived by one daughter, Theresa Perry of Great Falls, Montana, two grandsons, Loran and Denzel Perry, 14 great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren, all of Montana; and one sister, Luella Lilleskov of Minneapolis.
