Mathias J. Lee was born in Gulbransdalen, Norway, the son of Johan and Runnog Overlee, April 3rd, 1859, and passed away November 28, 1949, in Clarkfield, Minnesota. On November 19, 1889, Mathias was united in marriage to Jertina Jacobson. To this union 13 children were born. The Lees farmed until the year of 1935 when they retired and moved to Clarkfield.
