Mary Francis (Drake) Miller was born on September 20, 1954, to parents Marvin and Ardys (Griffith) at Mankato, Minnesota. Mary was raised in Tracy, Minnesota, where she graduated from Tracy High School. Shortly after graduation she married Brent Miller. Mary and Brent raised three children from their home in Clarkfield, Minnesota. During Mary's years as a loving mother, she was actively involved with her children's and community activities. Mary volunteered as a Sunday School teacher, Girl Scout leader, Wrestling Mom and in any other way she could. Visiting with the ladies over morning coffee, scrap booking her memories and playing cards with family were a few of the things she loved most. She was a faithful employee of the Clarkfield Care Center for many years. Mary passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2008, at Avera-McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, following a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 53 years, 5 months and 24 days. Mary is survived by her husband of 34 years, Brent of Clarkfield, daughter and son-in law Colleen and Matthew, son and daughter-in-law Eric and Crystal, son Kyle and grandson Ethan. Mary is also survived by her mother Ardys Drake; father-in-law Orville Miller; Mary's five brothers and sisters; Brent's two brothers; plus aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Drake. Blessed be her memory.
