Obituary

Mary Evelyn Benage was born March 28, 1884, to James and Ida (Mussen) Benage at Monroe, Green County, Wisconsin. The family later moved to Iowa, where she was baptized into the Christian faith and became a member of the Christian church. In March, 1903, they moved to Minnesota and settled on a farm near Clarkfield. On September 16, 1903, she was united in marriage to Thomas W. Diggins. To this union three children were born, Glenn of Milan, Minnesota, Doris (Mrs. Harry Hanson) of Granite Falls, Minnesota, and Ardeth (Mrs. Lester Dotseth) of Hazel Run, Minnesota. She passed away at the Clarkfield Community Hospital September 25, 1956, at the age of 72 years, following a heart attack. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Vernon. Surviving together with her husband and three children, are two brothers, Ray and Alt Benage of Centuria, Wisconsin; six grandchildren: Harry and Rodney Hanson, Mrs. Dennis Dyrdahl, Gail Listul, Dianne Dotseth and Michael Diggins. Also surviving are one great granddaughter, Pamela Dyrdahl besides several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. IN MEMORY OF MRS.
