Marvin Jorgenson was born in Clarkfield, Minnesota, on December 18, 1891, to parents Bernt and Ida (Severts) Jorgenson. He was baptized and confirmed at the Clarkfield Lutheran Church where he was a lifelong member. On February 9, 1920, he married Bessie Amundson. To this union was born: son, Dale of Coeur D'Alene, Idaho, daughter Mabel (Mrs. Ray Miller) and sons Glenn and Dennis of Clarkfield. Marvin farmed all of his life on the homestead his father had built on the south edge of Clarkfield. In 1953 he and Bessie retired and built a new home adjoining the farm where they lived until this fall. He passed away November 3, 1977, at Clarkfield, at the age of 85. Other survivors besides his wife Bessie and children are 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister. IN MEMORY OF MARVIN A.
