Marvin Erickson, 71, passed away Tuesday night, April 19, 1977, at his rural Minneota home where he farmed his entire life. Born on that same farm on July 9, 1905, to Siver and Gjertrude (Broughton) Erickson, he was baptized and confirmed at the St. Lucas Lutheran Church of Normania Township, where funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon, April 23. Burial at the St. Lucas Cemetery followed the services. Marvin Erickson is survived by his wife, the former Cora Knutson, whom he married in 1943, and his two children, Elaine Wickstrom of St. Paul, Minnesota, and Wayne Erickson of Cottonwood, Minnesota. Other close survivors include his two grandsons, Troy and Brandon Erickson of Cottonwood; his sister, Inga Broughton of Cottonwood; and his two brothers: Harry Erickson of Minneota, and Selmer Erickson of Ogema. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
