Funeral services for Martin Anderson were held on Saturday, May 18, 1974, at 2:00 p.m. from Lynner Funeral Home Chapel, Clarkfield, Minnesota. Rev. Gordon Trelstad officiated. Organist was Kathy Koepp and vocal music was furnished by Mrs. Myron Friberg and Mrs. Johnie Sturgeon. Virgil Anderson, Jewell Anderson, Duane Martinson, Harlen Martinson, Marvin Hegna and Maurice Oakland were the Casket Bearers. Interment was at the Clarkfield Cemetery. Mr. Anderson passed away May 16, 1974, at the age of 73 years. Martin Anderson was born January 4, 1901, in Yellow Medicine County to Bernt and Olina (Eidahl) Anderson. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a World War II Veteran. Surviving are his two sisters, Mrs. Olga Martinson of Boyd, Minnesota, and Mrs. Hilda Ohman of Clarkfield; two brothers, Tillman of Boyd, Minnesota, and Elmer of Yountville, California. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and three sisters. He made his home the last nine years with his sister, Hilda Ohman.
