Mrs. Fred Leppke (Martha Caroline) was born February 23, 1893, to William and Caroline (Nohenberg) Roske in Omro Township of Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. She was baptized by Rev. Jacob Frey and confirmed in 1906 by Pastor E.G. Fritz at St. John's Lutheran Church. She married Fred T. Leppke on February 1, 1916. Mrs. Leppke passed away January 4, 1975, at the Canby Hospital, Canby, Minnesota. She is survived by her husband, Fred; five children: Lydia (Mrs. Erhardt Koepp), Arnold, Edmund, Harry and Victor, all of this area; four grandsons; two great granddaughters; two brothers: Edward of Brainerd, Minnesota, and Carl of Barrett, Minnesota; and a sister, Augusta Gottschalk of Montevideo, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Lyle Leppke; two sisters: Emma and Mary; brothers Albert, Fred, Ludwig, Samuel, Oscar and Christian in infancy. IN MEMORY OF MRS.
