Martha Gabriella Skaalen was born May 13, 1889, in Minnesota, the daughter of Elias and Helena (Brekke) Jurgenson. She passed away December 8, 1953, at the Clarkfield Community Hospital, Clarkfield, Minnesota, at the age of 64 years. Mrs. Skaalen lived as a child in Clarkfield with her parents. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Skaalen in 1941. Survivors include sons: John Elton, Clifford, Hilman, Kenneth and Marlow; daughter, Gladys Just.
