Martha Maria Sorum was born in Norway, March 8, 1880, the daughter of Gunder Anders Halvorson and Olean (Larsdatter) Halvorson. She passed away Sunday, October 25, 1959, at the Clarkfield Community Hospital at the age of 79 years. She had been a patient there about four days. Mrs. Sorum was preceded in death by her husband, Petter Sorum in 1953, and leaves no relatives in this country, but many friends in the Boyd community.
