Marjorie Wilson, 87, died Monday, January 14, 2002, at Three Links Care Center in Northfield, Minnesota. Her funeral will be Saturday, January 19 , 2002, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Northfield, with burial on Sunday, January 20, 2002, at 1:00 p.m. at the Hazel Run Lutheran Cemetery, Hazel Run, Minnesota. Friends and family are invited to the graveside services at the cemetery on Sunday. Mrs. Wilson is the sister-in-law of Dora Hanson of Clarkfield, Minnesota. Marjorie Borghild Wilson was born April 16, 1914, in Tyro Township of Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, to Edward and Cecelia Hanson. She was baptized and confirmed at Clarkfield Lutheran Church. She graduated from Clarkfield High School in 1932. She received her teaching certificate from Mankato State University and began her teaching career in Hazel Run. On June 11, 1939, she married Vernon R. Wilson. During World War II, she taught in Clarkfield while her husband was in the service. In 1952 the family moved to Redwood Falls, Minnesota. She returned to Mankato State and received a B.S. in elementary education and began teaching in Belview, Minnesota, and then in Redwood Falls until she retired in 1971. In 1974 she began a nursery school in her home. Marjorie and Vernon moved to Northfield in 1981. She is survived by her husband Vernon Wilson, also at Three Links; two sons, Terrance Wilson of Malta, Montana, and Charles Wilson of Northfield; two daughters-in-law, Norma Wilson and Barbara Wilson; her sister, Theresa Krueger of New Richmond, Wisconsin; sister-in-law Dora Hanson, Clarkfield; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; her aunt Carolyn Anderson, Northfield; and several cousins.
