Marie Ann (Hegna) Anderson May 16, 1936 ~ October 12, 2015 Marie Ann Hegna Anderson was born to parents Arthur and Josie (Saby) Hegna in Granite Falls, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, on May 16, 1936. She was one of two children. She was baptized and confirmed at Granite Falls Lutheran Church. She also graduated from Granite Falls High School. Marie and Monte Anderson were united in marriage at the Granite Falls Lutheran Church and were blessed with four children. They lived their whole lives in Granite Falls. Marie loved her family and enjoyed quilting, knitting, cooking, playing cards and was very active in her church. She especially looked forward to spending holidays with her family. She passed away on Monday, October 12, 2015, at the Chippewa County - Montevideo Hospital at the age of 79 years, 4 months and 27 days. She is survived by her children: Janine (Jeff) Hansen, Beverly Mueller, Brian (Rhonda) Anderson, and daughter-in-law, Mary Anderson. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Braxton (Kendra) Anderson, Nick Anderson, Brianna Anderson, Jacob Anderson, Kayla Anderson, Angela Anderson and great grandchildren: Kayson and Jaycee Anderson; brother-in-law, Robert Anderson; sister-in- law, Virginia Hegna and her lifelong friend Sandra Ryer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Josie Hegna; husband, Monte; and son, Marty.
