Margaret Jeanette (Stensrud) Anderson was born on July 13, 1909, to Anton J. and Bertina (Amundson) Stensrud in Lyon County, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. On January 14, 1930, she was united in marriage to Johannes Anderson. To this union five children were born: Marlys, Arden, Gordon, Dorothy and Bernice. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Goodridge, Minnesota, in Pennington County, where they resided until 1948 when they moved back to the Clarkfield, Minnesota area. She has been a resident at the Clarkfield Care Center for the past 11 and 1/2 years, where she passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 1990, at the age of 80. Margaret is survived by her husband Johannes of Valhalla Apartments in Clarkfield; and children, Marlys and Archie Froland of Clarkfield, Arden and wife Pat of Princeton, Minnesota, Dorothy and Merlyn Brown of Clarkfield, Bernice and Eugene Moseng of Montevideo, Minnesota; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one sister Agnes and her husband Emery Dagel of Granite Falls, Minnesota; brothers-in-law, Boyd Long of Clarkfield and Selmer Erickson of Detroit Lakes, Mninnesota, and Arvey Dybedahl of Roseau, Minnesota; and sister-in-law Amelia Stensrud of Bloomington, Minnesota; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son Gordon; four sisters, Amanda Erickson, Cora Long, Alma Anderson, Doris Dybedahl ;and brothers Melvin and Kenneth Stensrud. Her life taught us love, kindness, generosity and happiness. She was one of our greatest blessings and will be sadly missed.
