Margaret Leone Day was born on October 17, 1932, one of Sidney and Laurena (Reiten) Day's 10 children, in Granite Falls, MN. She graduated from Clarkfield High School in 1949 before marrying Harry Morland on July 6, 1951 at the Clarkfield Lutheran Church. The couple had 4 children: Marcia, Laurie, Michael, and JoAnn. Shortly after they wed, Harry served in the Air Force until his discharge in 1954 when the family moved back to Clarkfield to take over the family farm. Margaret and Harry were the owners of Morland Country Store, 7 miles south of Clarkfield right off Highway 59, and she dabbled in retail throughout her life. Above all, Margaret and Harry loved adventuring in their camper, especially in the Lake Okoboji, IA area, and enjoyed going dancing together. Known as the quiet one, Margaret could sew and made her children's clothes herself. She also collected dolls, enjoyed bowling, and relished time spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

On Saturday, February 12th, 2022, at the age of 89, Margaret passed away with family by her side at the Whitewater Health Services Nursing Home in St. Charles. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Laurena; husband, Harry Erling Morland; siblings, Mildred, Darwin, Donald, Delores (Babe), Lois, Gordy, Jerry, and Dale, and son-in-law, Erlond Moe.

Margaret is survived by her children, Marcia Moe, Laurie (Norm) Amiot, Michael Morland, and JoAnn (Steve) Nisbit; grandchildren: Marissa (Jeff) Martin, Shawna Chumley, Julia (Josh) Klaas, Chara (Brian) Collins, Darius (Irene) McCool, Courtney (Tori) McCool, Shane McCool, Ashly (Gustavo) Hernandez, Amber (Bill) Berry; great-grandchildren: Jaylynn, Nathan, Kyra, Karina, Odin, Leona, Joseph (Ashley), Nickolas, Nassiah, Andrew, Isabel, Mikayla, Sophia, Ariella, Madison, Vincent, Navaeh, Gage, Finn, Violet, Mason, Aireanna, Mannox, Brandon, Cristina, and Lilliana; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Brexlyn and Huxley, and brother, Keith Day.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 19th, 2022 at 1 PM at the J.H. Lynner Funeral Home in Clarkfield, followed by the funeral service at 2 PM. Interment to follow in the Clarkfield Lutheran Cemetery. Family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Whitewater Health Services Nursing Home for the wonderful care and concern they showed to Margaret.
