Margaret Doris Almira (Wolsund) Rachie was born July 18, 1913, to her parents Olaf and Helen (Maltrud) Wolsund in Stony Run Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. She was baptized on August 17, 1913, at Bergen Lutheran Church by Rev. John Salhus. In October of 1927 Margaret was confirmed by Rev. Anders Haugland at Bergen Lutheran Church. She was married to Charles Edward Rachie of Granite Falls, Minnesota, on May 3, 1942, by Rev. Peder Trelstad at Bergen Lutheran Church. A child was born to this union on July 15, 1949. The girl was baptized Carolyn Mae. Margaret loved, served and witnessed to her family, church and community in countless ways. She died at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital January 16, 1969, at 6:00 a.m., at the age of 55 years. She is survived by her husband, Charles Edward of Granite Falls; her daughter, Carolyn (Mrs. Larry Olson) of Minneapolis; and her mother, Helen (Mrs. Olaf Wolsund) of Granite Falls. IN MEMORY OF MRS.
