Mally Arthur Anderson, age 52, was born March 28, 1944, to parents Ellsworth and Inez (Long) Anderson. He was baptized and confirmed in the Clarkfield Lutheran Church, Clarkfield, Minnesota. He attended Clarkfield school and graduated with the class of 1962. He attended Dunwoody Institute and graduated as an auto mechanic. Mally married Nancy Sturgeon, they had one son, Mark. After this marriage was dissolved, he married Mae Lalim. They had one son, Michael. Mally loved music. He sang in all the church choirs, children's choir, Jr. choir, and Sr. choir. In school, he sang in a men's quartet and school chorus and played trombone in the school band. He was a 4-H member through high school. He loved sports, hunting and fishing, and he loved his elders. He had many visits in the nursing home with friends. He had a positive attitude and loved being with people. He was a member of AA and was very active in supporting this organization. He was also a life member of Clarkfield Lutheran Church. Mally passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 1996, at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. He leaves to mourn his mother Inez (and George) Gartner of Marshall, Minnesota; two sons, Mark of Plymouth, Minnesota, and Michael of Maynard, Minnesota; two sisters, Jane (and Charles) Bertsch of Bloomington, Minnesota, and Judy (and Tim) Moberg of Marshall, Minnesota; nephews Scott and Bryan Bertsch and Duffy and Patrick Moberg; niece Jolayne Moberg; and grand nephew Matthew Bertsch. He had two step brothers, Stan (and Kay) Gartner of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and David (and Sharon) Gartner of Grand Junction, Colorado; step niece Megan; step nephews Matthew and Bryce; several uncles, aunts, cousins, and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Ellsworth Anderson and grandparents Melville and Sophia Long and Henry and Anna (Hanson) Anderson. Blessed be his memory.
