Obituary

Mrs. Malina Shefveland was born at Radcliff, Iowa, on August 21, 1888, to parents Ole and Serine (Johnson) Teig. She passed away June 6, 1974, at the age of 85 years. Malina was united in marriage to Oscar Shefveland on October 7, 1908. This union was blessed with five children, two daughters: Ruby and Eunice; and three sons: Orrin, Stanley and Merle. They resided in the Clarkfield area for about 40 years and moved to Richfield, Minnesota in 1952. She is survived by her three sons: Orrin of Laporte, Minnesota, Stanley of Ellsworth, Wisconsin, and Merle of Milaca, Minnesota; 15 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister, Mabel Sydness of Lakefield, Minnesota; two brothers: Ode of Lakefield, Minnesota, and Arthur of Boyd, Minnesota; and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Oscar in July 1972, and two daughters. She was a member of Oak Grove Lutheran Church for the past 22 years.
