Obituary

Magdalen Mary Laux was born December 17, 1903, at Lamberton, Minnesota, to Frank and Lena (Euper) Raschka. On October 12, 1931, she married Eldred Laux, Sr. at Lamberton, Minnesota, where she taught rural school. To this union five children were born. She was a longtime resident of the Boyd, Minnesota community, an active member of Chatter and Clatter Homemakers Club and Senior citizens. She had been an active member of St. Isidore's Catholic Church of Clarkfield, Minnesota for many years. She passed away at her home in Boyd, Friday, September 24, 1982 at age 78. Mrs. Laux is survived by three daughters: Marceline McKigney of Tyler, Minnesota, Monica Oseid of St. Cloud, Minnesota, and Carol Nehring of Boyd; two sons: Eldred Laux Jr. of Clarkfield, Minnesota, and Joseph Laux of Auburn, Washington; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four sisters and one brother. She was preceded in death by her husband. Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, September 27, 1982, at 11:00 a. m. at St. James Catholic Church of Dawson, Minnesota.
