Obituary

Mable Caspara (Iverson) Western was born January 1, 1902, in Lisbon Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, the daughter of Iver P. and Ingeborg (Lynne) Iverson. She spent most of her life in this community. She was baptized by Rev. Fjeldstad and confirmed by Rev. Salhus. She was united in marriage to Johnny Western June 16, 1934, the ceremony being performed by Rev. Salhus at Hazel Run. Mrs. Western passed away January 21, 1952, at her Lisbon Township home, at the age of 50 years. Surviving Mrs. Western are her husband, one brother, Peder I. Iverson, and two sisters, Mrs. William Schiel of Minneapolis, and Mrs. August Lund of Montevideo, besides many other relatives. Preceding her in death were her parents. She was a true Christian woman, a wise and loving wife, kind and helpful friend, and beloved by all who knew her. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, January 26, 1952, 2:00 p.m., at Bergen Lutheran Church, Stony Run Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, Rev. A.N. Olson officiating. Pallbearers were Juell Kirkeby, Menford Anderson, Alton Isaacs, Robert Fausek, Clarence Iverson and Ernest Brovold. Special songs were sung by Harry and Juell Kirkeby and William Nelson.
