Mabel Amanda Loacano was born on June 30, 1911, at Clarkfield, Minnesota, to parents Andrew and Mathia (Haugen) Iverson. She was baptized and confirmed at the Clarkfield Lutheran Church. Mabel lived in Detroit, Michigan, and worked at Burroughs Corporation for many years until her retirement. She was a very active member in the V.F.W. at Centerline, Michigan. She loved helping others and the 'Cooties' was her favorite duty with helping and cheering the sick. Mabel moved to Clarkfield on October 1, 1990, and bought a home. She loved her home, and her yard and flowers kept her very busy. Her dog, Max, was a joy in her life. She passed away on Thursday, May 7, 1998, at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital at the age of 87 years, 10 months, and 8 days. She is survived by one sister, Emma Ness Johnson, many nieces and nephews and family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Martin, Carl, George, Rudolph, E. Oscar and Albin; and a sister, Alice. Blessed be her memory.
