Obituary

Mabel Ordella Johnson Anderson was born January 19, 1904, at Clarkfield, Minnesota, to the parents Chris and Selma Johnson. She was baptized by Rev. O.C. Farseth and confirmed by Rev. O.T. Storaasli. On December 7, 1922, she married Adolph L. Anderson of Clarkfield. This union was blessed with six children: Arlyn, Sylvan, Avis (Mrs. Clarence Bergeson), Lois (Mrs. Don Werpy), Mary (Mrs. William O'Trimble), and Charles. Mrs. Anderson was a lifetime member of Clarkfield Lutheran Church and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary all the while she resided here. The family was in business here until retirement when she and her husband moved to Spicer, Minnesota, in 1959. There they lived for eight years. From there they moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where a number of her children reside. She passed away there on March 12, 1972, at the age of 68 years. Preceding her in death were her parents and the following brothers and sisters: Carl, Christine, Martin and Mary. She is survived by her brother, Russell Johnson of Clarkfield; her husband and children and thirteen grandchildren. Accompanying her husband here from New Mexico were Arlyn, Charles and Mr. and Mrs. O'Trimble and two girls. Joining them were Mr. and Mrs. Sylvan Anderson, son and daughter of Fergus Falls, Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bergeson, son and daughter of Minneapolis; and Mr. and Mrs. Don Werpy and four children of Marshall, Minnesota.
