Mabel Belvina Stevens, 89, of Clarkfield, Minnesota, died Sunday, October 6, 1986, at the Clarkfield Care Center. Services were held Wednesday, October 8, 1986, at the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church in Hanley Falls, Minnesota, with Pastor Larry Olson officiating. The organist was Colleen Hewitt with soloists Mavis Ellingson of Hanley Falls and Ardith Maki of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Casket Bearers were Jerry Peterson, Galen Redetzke, Jon Redetzke, Gerald Velde, Gorman Velde and Glen Haroldson. Final Resting Place is the Yellow Medicine East Cemetery, Hanley Falls, Minnesota. She was born December 19, 1896, in Minnesota Falls Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, to OJe J. and Inger (Gilbertson) Hardy. She was baptized and confirmed in the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church. She attended Madison Normal School and taught country school before marrying Edgar C. Stevens on May 1, 1919. They had one son, Allard E. Stevens. She is survived by son Allard of Granite Falls, Minnesota; grandchildren Sandra Meyer and Sharon Stamson of Minneapolis and Marilynn Goodwin of Granite Falls, Minnesota; and seven great grandchildren.
